Children's Ministries
Cross Roads has a wonderful children's ministry, serving kids from babies to elementary school with engaging Sunday morning Children’s Church and our lively Wednesday night AWANA program. We provide a great environment for kids to learn about God. Beyond our weekly schedule, children can jump into regular fellowship activities, high-energy Vacation Bible School, and life-changing summer camps. Every program we offer is designed to build a firm biblical foundation while fostering lasting friendships and a genuine love for the Lord.
Nursery Ages 0-3
At Cross Roads, we offer a quality nursery experience for children, ages 0-3, during worship services on Sundays and Wednesdays. Our team of nursery volunteers* includes a number of mothers and experienced ladies who are well-equipped to care for your little ones.
*Every nursery volunteer submits to a background check and is vetted by our Church staff leadership before they begin serving with children.
Sunday School Sundays at 9:30 am
Our Sunday School classes, meeting every Sunday morning at 9:30, provide a focused environment where children enjoy learning from the Word of God. Each class is tailored to specific age groups, ensuring that the teaching is both accessible and engaging for every child.
Throughout the year, students explore the lives of key Bible characters and study core scriptural truths that form the building blocks of a strong faith. By establishing this consistent rhythm of learning, we help children move beyond simply knowing Bible stories to understanding how God's truth applies to their lives today.
Children's Church Sundays at 10:30 am
During our 10:30 AM service, we offer a dedicated Children’s Church experience where kids can worship in an environment built just for them. To ensure the teaching is age-appropriate, we provide separate rooms for ages 3–5 and 6–11. Each session is packed with high-energy activities, including puppets, crafts, singing, and games that bring the Bible to life. Our goal is to make the Gospel accessible and exciting, allowing children to develop a personal love for God’s house while parents participate in the main service.
AWANA clubs Wednesdays at 6:45 pm
Meeting during the school months on Wednesday nights at 6:45 PM, our AWANA program is a highlight of the week for many families. This structured ministry focuses heavily on Scripture memorization and the mastery of core biblical truths, helping children hide God's Word in their hearts. The evening balances serious discipleship with high-energy fun, as students head to the gym for the famous AWANA games and fellowship. It is a fantastic opportunity for children to build discipline, earn awards, and grow in their faith alongside their peers.
